Born and raised in Mariental, Namibia, Lize Ehlers is one of Namibia’s leading female hip-hop and jazz musician. She began by performing at corporate events which earned her more bookings. Her debut album ‘Fairy Circle Love’ was nominated four times in the 2011 Namibian Music Awards (NAMAs). It was followed by ‘African Cleavage’, which was released on 29 November 2011 at MoJoes Lounge in Windhoek. In 2013, she released her debut Afrikaans single titled ‘Woestynroos’ (Desert Rose), collaboration with South African musician Andries-Hendrik Potgieter. In 2014, she scooped the Performer Choice Award at the annual Actors, Models and Talent for Christ (AMTC) convention in the USA, an international convention where potential stars from all over the world converge to showcase their talents. In that same year, she released her third album, called ‘Change’. Besides music, she is also an ambassador for Uyelele, a Namibian Solar Bottle Project that was founded by her husband, Hendrik Ehlers.
